Designing thin walls for MJF without the warp

Thin walls save weight and material — until they curl off the bed or snap in the depowdering station. These are the wall-thickness rules our engineers apply when they review your MJF files.
Respect the 1-millimeter floor
Walls under 1 mm print, but inconsistently. Keep functional walls at 1–1.5 mm and cosmetic shells at 0.8 mm minimum, and add a 0.5 mm fillet wherever a thin wall meets a thick base.
Ribs beat thickness
A 1 mm wall with 1.5 mm ribs every 15 mm is stiffer and flatter than a solid 2.5 mm wall — and uses less powder. Orient ribs along the load path, not across it.
Design for the cooling rack
Most warp happens after the build, during cooling. Symmetric features, even wall transitions and avoiding large flat plates parallel to the bed keep parts flat while they cool.
